About Soot & Sprout Studio

Soot & Sprout Studio is a hand-pinched pottery studio from Jingdezhen, China. We make small ceramic companions without molds, leaving visible fingerprints, raw clay texture, and intentionally odd proportions in every piece.

A little awkward, a little charming, each one is made to keep quiet company. Our incense holders turn a small moment of burning incense into a ritual. The Soot Series is made from high-fired maifanite clay and designed as an aroma stone companion for a desk, shelf, or tea table.

We believe the objects worth keeping are not perfectly uniform. They carry the trace of a hand, a sense of time, and a character of their own.
